Intralink + Oracle woes… service_died

Just when things were going great (12 Intralink 3.4 production server upgrades neatly under my belt) up crept an Oracle issue… a recurring service failure on our French server - with only this kind of message in the \network\log\listener.log file: 17-DEC-2007 12:44:42 * service_died * ilnk * 12537 I discovered that the service was often dying at roughly 20 minute intervals, and could be restarted with dbstart_ilink - so I scheduled this to help keep things afloat.
